About This Video
According to the Chicago police, two people were shot in their car on the South Side of Chicago on Wednesday afternoon before crashing.
Police say that a 26-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were in a car in the 7900 block of South May Street in Gresham at 1:25 p.m. when they were shot.
The CPD said that their car then hit a van.
The woman was shot several times and sent to Little Company of Mary Hospital in awful shape. Police said she died later.
The man was shot twice and taken to Christ Hospital, where he was in good shape.
Father Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina Church said that the victim's car had a baby in the back seat, but the baby was not hurt.
The godfather of the woman who was shot said that his goddaughter's baby girl, who is less than a year old, was in the back of the car. "You know, there's a baby in the car." These animals don't care about life. This doesn't matter to them. They need to make this city cleaner. They must. There are gangs, and there are shootings and deaths. Pastor Kirk Bell, the godfather, said, "It's just unbelievable."
